Men’s Soccer

Record: 10-2-2

Top Performer: Senior Issac Perez has scored seven goals in the month of October.

Overview: The Men’s soccer team is on a roll. Currently riding a seven-game win streak, the Stars are in a good place as they head into the home stretch of the regular season. During the win streak, the Stars have outscored opponents 29-2. Saturday’s 10-0 win over Lakeland University marked Coach Erik Baumann’s 400th win.

Standout Stat: The Stars have not lost at home this season.

Women’s Soccer

Record: 12-1

Top Performer: Senior Josseline Williams has three hat tricks this season.

Overview: The Stars have not lost a game since September 14th at UW-Oshkosh, and are bound for another bid to the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship. The Stars have shut out 10 teams this season, eight of them during their win streak. Their next home game is October 16th vs Benedictine University at home.

Standout Stat: The Stars have outscored opponents 24-1 in October.

Women’s Volleyball

Record: 15-6

Top Performer: Sophomore Gabija Sinickaite has 217 kills this season.

Overview: If you are traveling to the Igini Sports Forum, you are going to have to fight and claw to pull out a win. The Stars have protected their home court, going 4-1 on the season with three out of the four wins coming in straight sets. In their win vs. Marian University on October 11th, Freshman Keely McCallum lead the Stars with 13 kills and continues to be a core part of the team’s success. The Stars will have home court advantage for the remainder of the season, with five of their final seven games being at Igini.

Standout Stat: Sophomore Sarah Lychock has 373 digs this season. 

Men’s and Women’s Cross Country

Best finish: Men- 15th out of 17 at WLC Warrior Invite

                    Women- 4th out of 15 at WLC Warrior Inivte

Top Performers: Mary Eterno and Nicole Grondin both placed in the Top 25 at the Wisconsin Lutheran College invite on October 5th.

Overview: Men’s and Women’s Cross Country have set personal bests in October. Junior Nicole Grondin placed 23rd out of 135 runners at the Warrior invite. Freshman Fernando Gonzalez placed 29th out of 119 runners. At their most recent invite on October 11th at the Benedictine Invite in Wheaton, Gonzalez led the men, placing 36th overall. For the Women, Freshman Amanda Arroyo finished the 6k at 29:04.5, shaving 104 seconds off her previous time.

Standout Stat: Junior Mary Eterno placed 14th at the Benedictine invite with a time of 25:10.9.

Men’s Golf

Best finish: Placed 5th out of 9 at the Benedictine Invite on September 29th.

Overview: The Men’s Golf team finished their season at the NACC Fall Championship in Sheboygan, WI. Freshman Tyler Stibal led the way placing 41st. Senior Karmen Carey and Junior Michael Cross both tied for 42nd.

Standout Stat: The Stars score of 314 at the Benedictine invite is the third-best round in program history.

Women’s Tennis

Record: 1-12

Top Performer: Maya Banks and Gladys Bautista won their doubles match vs. Alverno on October 5th 8-1.

Overview: The Stars Tennis season has come to an end. Their lone win came against Alverno in a 6-3 route of the Inferno. Senior Gladys Baustista picked up a singles and doubles win over the Inferno. Coach Troy Tonsil credited Baustista’s performance with all the hard work she put in during the season.

Standout Stat: Alexis Hoskins did not lose a game in her singles match against Merub Irfan of the Inferno.
