Hello Readers,
As we approach week three of the spring semester, we bring you the first edition of the paper.
In this edition, you can expect to read about recent problems with the new FAFSA application, the opportunity to opt-in for the U-Pass, and the introduction of Dominican’s new dance club.
Last week, a petition led by students expressed their concerns about the recent overtaking of the study rooms in the Rebecca Crown Library. These rooms are now occupied as offices for Student Success and Engagement staff. Students were upset with the administration’s decision. Read more on page 7.
Additionally, the Star is aware of hungry student residents who are unable to dine in Cyber on weekends or after 5 p.m. on weekdays. Students are displeased with the Cyber Cafe’s hours.
We hope the administration will consider student feedback and concerns.
Stay tuned for the next episode of the Starcast in the coming weeks, which will be uploaded on dominicanstar.com.
Remember, stay safe and warm.
XOXO,
