Readers, welcome back to the start of a new semester!
There have been a couple of changes made since the last time we saw each other. We’re excited to announce that Angel Dominguez and Betsy Carreño will be our new co-chiefs, along with Edgar Vega being our Chief Designer.
For those that don’t know us, here is a little introduction:

Hi, my name is Betsy! My major is in Psychology, and my minor is in Philosophy. I am currently a sophomore, and my favorite season is Fall!

Hello, my name is Angel, this is my third year at Dominican, and I am a Digital Journalism Major!

Hi, I’m Edgar. This is my final year at Dominican, my major is in English with a concentration in secondary education. I also have a minor in professional writing.
This semester you will see us produce a total of four print issues, as well as two editions for online publication. Make sure to check the news racks and follow our socials as we will be bringing you endless stories semester-long about anything and everything Dominican!
The Star will continue its interactive #PhotosForTheStar page, we ask that you submit any and all pictures for our collage!
We also encourage all students and organizations to reach out for collaboration; story tips, upcoming events, interest in purchasing an ad or having a column!
Of course, any students interested in joining our team, we ask that you stop by our newsroom!
Lastly, and most importantly, we hope you all have an amazing start to the semester!
