President of Dominican University Donna Carroll addressed the DU community via video on Thursday.
The main part of the video included a discussion on the CARES Act and how Dominican is working through the money received from the Coronavirus Stimulus Package in early April.
Quote from Carroll:
“We are developing an award process right now that meets federal guidelines and expect all Title IV Pell eligible students will be able to appeal for these funds beginning next week. Funds will then be dispersed immediately following a short application process. In addition, thanks to the generosity of donors, Dominican will also be able to help some of our undocumented students with tuition relief.
Carroll also mentions with “cautious optimism” that Dominican University full expects to be open for face-to-face classes in the fall.
