For a third summer, the audience has been anxiously waiting for the arrival of the third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, (TSITP) a coming-of-age/romance drama following Isabel Conklin (Belly), Conrad Fisher, and Jeremiah Fisher.
Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Belly has found herself in love with two people who just so happen to be brothers. Originally a book series written by Jenny Han published in 2009, the show gained immediate popularity since the release of the first season in 2022.
Each summer, the audience is welcomed into the story of Belly learning who she is, what it means to gain and lose friends, managing grief, and of course, learning what love is.
The biggest question that seems to haunt everyone, regardless if you watch the show or not, is which team are you? Team Conrad? Or team Jeremiah?
When asking Dominican student Daniella Gutierrez what she thought about the show, she shared, “I’m team Conrad. Conrad truly loves Belly and Jeremiah is too immature and not ready for marriage.”
Tatiana Vasquez, another student that watches TSITP, said, “It’s very addictive. I think it’s a fun show to relax [to], but it’s kind of getting me mad lately. I’m Team Conrad stays alone, Team Belly leaves him alone.”
Regardless of what team you are on, TSITP has become a show where thousands wait eagerly on Wednesdays for the release of a new episode. Following each episode, many have turned to social media expressing their opinion on the newest episode.
The season finale releases on September 17th, where we will know who Belly ends up with. Conrad, Jeremiah, or herself?
