Hello readers,
As we are halfway through the semester, we welcome you back to the third edition of the paper.
In light of the current ICE raids in our country, we understand students’ fear and frustration. We encourage you to send us letters expressing your concerns. Your voice matters, and we want to make sure that you are heard.
Additionally, we want to highlight two letters to the editors that we received. You can read up on student’s opinions on the ongoing war in Gaza (despite the recent ceasefire), and how the new potential TPUSA chapter has stirred up emotions in students.
We also want to call attention to several important stories such as the potential deployment of the National Guard in Chicago, federal funding ending for HSI grants, and Cardinal Cupich’s visit to Dominican.
We would also recommend you to stay tuned into the new podcast episode, where your host, Betsy Carreño, deciphers why we feel the need to romanticize fall.
As always, keep an eye out on our social media for updates and new stories.
Xoxo,
B & B
