Dear DU Students, Staff and Faculty,
From the dedicated teaching of Never Mosby at the Goedert Center, to the pedagogical aspirations of new English professor Chamara Moore and the continuing studies of students from all majors – especially the vaccination advocacy of our 2021 Lincoln Laureate Nathaly Valdiva Oberto-Besso; one can see how all of their hard work has made Dominican so special year after year.
Our third issue of the year brings the end of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which was well celebrated on campus through the Center of Cultural Liberation’s events and guest speakers, which brought a heightened appreciation for the role of Hispanic culture today. As we conclude this month with the burn-outs of midterms and the joy of Halloween and Día de Los Muertos approaching, we should continue to be aware of the diverse cultural traditions celebrated on our campus.
And what about our campus? You will be surprised at some of the stories that sprouted from university archives that fit perfectly with the spooky season. Be safe and enjoy your spooky adventures!
