Dominican Ranked One of Top Midwestern Universities

Dominican University has been ranked as #11 out of 160 Regional Midwest Universities, preserving its position within top 15 Midwestern universities.  

All rankings are from a U.S. News and World Report article.

Additionally, Dominican placed #1 in the Midwest for Best Value, winning first place for three consecutive years. This examines academic standing and the proportion of full-time undergraduates receiving financial aid.  

Dominican has also kept 1st place for Social Mobility in Illinois, which assesses a school’s dedication to assisting underprivileged students advance economically.  

This category evaluates the graduation rate of students who are not awarded Pell Grants, to how successfully institutions enroll and graduate students who receive federal Pell Grants.   

Dominican achieved a #1 position for being the most innovative school in Illinois, as well. This was awarded because of Dominican’s advanced technology and curriculum. 

On top of these rankings, Dominican continues to be a top-ranking Hispanic-serving institution, since 2011. 

 Dominican went from enrolling Hispanic students, to becoming a role model for how to serve the Latinx student body. They offer a wide variety of scholarships, equity, and new paths for careers.
