Hi everyone,
This week, the Star will be releasing the final print issue of the school year. With that, it will also be my last edition serving as the co-editor.
Across the last three years, I’ve had the privilege to lead the Dominican Star’s coverage of all campus news. During this time, my focus has been to connect our paper to the DU community and ensure students to see the paper as an outlet for information and opportunity.
My time working for the paper brought tremendous value and responsibility. I hope you continue to look at the paper as a leader in connecting students to administration, but also to inform and inspire others.
As I look forward to graduation in May, I will miss working for the paper and want to give huge gratitude to my team for their hard work and support.
I would also like to acknowledge my advisers who have helped me during my time at Dominican: John Jenks, Nacho Montiel, and CarrieLynn Reinhard. I want to thank you for your support but most of all, inspiration.
For the rest of the DU Community, I hope my stories have inspired, helped, or informed you, and I hope you continue to share your voices and thoughts with the Star. The Star has a lot of potential and room for creativity and I invite you all to join our team and work with incredible individuals!
Lastly, to all my peers who look to graduation this May, congratulations I wish you all the best, continuing being unique and set yourself apart, imaginemos cosas chingonas
Gracias, and stay tuned to our TikTok as we close this semester!
