The Stars baseball team played outstandingly against Millikin University Big Blue, in their first bout, earning a 16-6 victory. Freshman OF/P, Quinlan Milne-Rojek hit stardom, as he became the first player in program history to hit for the cycle while going 6-for-6in the process. In addition, sophomore 2B/P Kevin Schwer, junior OF Joe Krasmy, sophomore OF Tim Varallo and OF Richie Green, all contributed to a win over the Big Blue. However, in the second game Big Blue came back with a vengeance, as they outhit the Stars 10-5. Battling for a chance to beat Millikin in a 2-0 double-header victory, the Stars couldn’t muster the same offensive output as the first game, eventually falling to the score of 5-2.
More recently, the North Park Vikings also defeated the Stars on Mar. 26, with a final score of 8-1. Junior OF Adam Quinn went 3-for-4 with two doubles, during the losing effort. Freshman OF/P Quinlan Milne-Rojek gave up four runs, six hits and two walks, with the loss pushing the Stars’ record to a disappointing 4-10.
