Men’s basketball breaks 5 game win streak
The Men’s basketball team broke an impressive 5 game winning streak, losing to the Edgewood Eagles 75-63. This win streak brought them up to second in the conference.
On Wed. Jan 24, Taylor Deroo made his all-time season high of 29 points against the Benedictine University Eagles, shooting 12-for-19 from the field and 5-for-5 at the foul line.
Junior forward Logan Harris added 16 points and ten rebounds, gaining his fourth double-double of the season along with junior guard Kevin Tiongson who added 11 points to the Stars’ win with a final score of 69-68.
The Dominican stars are second in the Northern Athletics Conference with an overall season record of 9-10 and 7-4 in the NAC.
Knieps scores big but Stars still fall
On Jan. 22, senior forward Laura Knieps went 12-for-16 from the field, earning a career high of 26 points against the Benedictine University Eagles. The Stars were defeated by the Eagles, which lowered their season record to 0-19 and 0-11 in the Northern Athletics Conference.
