An 18-year-old Dominican University student from Chicago was arrested around 3 a.m. on April 3 near Dominican after police found more than 100 Ecstasy pills, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in her car.

According the River Forest Police Department, freshman Sarah Granberg, of the 6000 block of Bernard Street, was found “driving suspiciously” near the 7900 block of Division Street near the main campus. As stated in a police news release, officers pulled Granberg over after a traffic violation.

Police said Granberg became nervous during the traffic stop and admitted she had drugs, alcohol and other paraphernalia in the car. Granberg was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and other misdemeanor drug and traffic charges.

Police did not determine whether or not Granberg intended to sell the drugs.

According to the press release, the value of the Ecstasy was valued more than $1,000 and she also had nine grams of marijuana and one bottle of open liquor.

Granberg’s bail was set at $10,000 and she is scheduled for a court date on April 24, police said.
