How to stay warm and dry during inclement weather, featuring Kelsie Chasten.
Now that Chicago has finally given in to typical winter weather, it’s important to stay warm and dry during these cold and wet months. However, that doesn’t mean you have to give up a sense of fashion. There are many ways to keep yourself nice and toasty while still displaying style. One favorite and stylish way to stay warm is layering. Layering is effortless and it never goes out of style. It’s especially convenient when traveling outdoors and then spending your day inside. When dressing for cold weather, it’s also important to consider a scarf, hat, and gloves; all of which can be found in attractive colors and styles. Boots are essential for days with snow or rain. Riding boots, combat boots, and wedge booties are all acceptable for wet days and they’re also trendy. Wearing wool socks or leg warmers will also add to warmth and style. Below, Dominican Student Kelsie Chasten shares some of her favorite outfits and advice for surviving cold and wet days.
