Summer break is only a few weeks away, and with it comes a slew of new blockbusters. If you’re looking for something to do this summer, there are a variety of choices. Whether you like superheroes, supervillains, aliens, magicians or a certain forgetful fish, you’re sure to find something to enjoy.

One of the most anticipated films for superhero fans is undoubtedly Marvel’s “Captain America Civil War”, slated to be released May 6. This film looks as though it is going to be action packed. Iron Man and Captain America have some political matters to settle and they seem to have a variety of friends to help them accomplish this in a not-so-civil manner. This is a film that moviegoers will want to strap in for, because it seems like it’s going to be quite the ride.

On the DC Universe side of things is the supervillain romp “Suicide Squad”. There is a lot of hype surrounding this venture, especially around Jared Leto who is stepping in to play the Joker. After viewing the trailers, this film seems like it will be a dark and whacky thrill ride. With DC villains being asked to operate under government orders, it ought to provide some interesting action as well as banter between these unlikely and, in some cases, unwilling teammates. “Suicide Squad” comes out August 5.

“Independence Day: Resurgence” is the sequel to the 1996 film “Independence Day”. Set 20 years after the first film, “Resurgence” finds the Earth facing a new alien threat as well as a new group of humans fighting to keep our planet intact. This film includes the return of original cast members Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman. Newcomers Liam Hemsworth and Joey King are ready to go as well. This film seems like it will be just as exciting as its predecessor. “Independence Day Resurgence” opens June 24.

“Now You See Me 2” is the sequel to 2013’s “Now You See Me”. The Four Horsemen return in order to pull of another stunt to clear their names after being forced into pulling off an impossible heist. This film brings back most of its key players including: Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman and Jesse Eisenberg in addition to introducing newcomer Daniel Radcliffe. This film seems as though it will provide an interesting puzzle and great action. “Now You See Me 2” is set to be released June 10.

The final film in the lineup is “Finding Dory”, the sequel to 2003’s “Finding Nemo”. In this film, Dory ventures on a quest to find her family. “Finding Dory” looks like it is going to be an extremely fun movie focusing on Dory’s exploits. It is slated for May 30.

These summer movies are certain to provide entertainment no matter what you are looking to see. With a variety of options to suit everyone, summer is going to be a huge time for movies.
