Criminal trespass arrest- At 9:53 a.m. on Oct. 7,, officers responded to a call of a subject causing a disturbance and harassing customers at a McDonald’s on 624 N. Harlem Ave. The manager had advised the subject, 23-year-old Akeem Ray of 13033 S. Ellis Ave. in Chicago to leave the restaurant several times but Ray refused. Ray was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass.

Disorderly conduct arrest- At 1:48 a.m. on Oct. 11, an officer observed a subject following a female pedestrian in the area of Harlem avenue and Lake street. The victim related that the subject following her, Twenty-year-old Hermant Chandrakant Patel of 1306 Snowberry Lane in West Chicago, had followed her from her job and had approached her, attempting to whisper in her ear. The victim became scared and ran into the street for help. Patel was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Assault arrest- At 6:09 p.m. on Oct. 17, officers responded to the Whole Foods Market on 7245 W. Lake St. about a call of a subject displaying an edged weapon. Officers learned that two retail thieves from a CVS Pharmacy in Forest Park had been located by the store’s security at the Whole Foods Market. Twenty four-year old Jarad M. McCree of 9455 S. Harvard in Chicago, pulled out a nine-inch screwdriver and threatened one of the security agents. The subject was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor assault.

Attempted residential burglary arrest- At 10:40 a.m. on Oct. 18, officers responded to a single family home on the 1500 block of Franklin Ave. because of an attempted residential burglary. The resident saw 20-year-old Chaquelle C. Jones and 19-year-old Dale E. Morris of Maywood, trying to break a rear, first-floor window in an attempt to gain entry into the home. The subjects fled after being seen and were pulled over in Elmwood Park by police. Jones and Morris were charged with felony attempted residential burglary charges. 

Retail theft/battery arrest- At 12:57 p.m. on Oct. 22, officers responded to a call of a retail theft in progress at the Jewel–Osco on 7525 W. Lake St. The offender, 32-year-old Christine R. Anderson of 830 N. Austin Ave. in Oak Park, was found fighting with store security after she was caught stealing $140 worth of Huggies Diapers. Anderson was charged with felony retail theft based on a 2005 conviction.
