Public Indecency/Disorderly Conduct Arrest- On Feb. 10 at 11:54 p.m., a police officer responded to an incident in which occurred at Concordia University Chicago around 9:30 p.m. The victim, an adult employee of the university, allegedly saw Director of Public Safety Tim Margis, 38, 13910 S. King Rd., Lockport, exiting her office while he was buttoning his pants and fastening his belt. The victim confronted Margis about what he was doing in her office. Margis said that he was checking the office because the door was open. After Margis left the room, the victim discovered that there was semen inside of one of her shoes in the office. On Feb. 12, River Forest police detectives located Margis at his home, where he admitted that he had entered the victim’s office and committed a lewd act. Margis was charged with two misdemeanor charges, processed and released on a $150 bond.        


DUI Arrest– At 1:54 a.m. on Feb. 13, an officer stopped a vehicle after it had almost struck several other marked police cars, which were on another traffic stop near Lake Street and Harlem Avenue. The driver, Peter E. Moorman, 49, 7634 Adams St., Forest Park, showed signs of intoxication. Moorman failed field sobriety tests revealing his blood alcohol level at 0.125. Moorman was taken into custody, charged with DUI, reckless driving and several other traffic violations.


Criminal Trespass to Land Arrest- At 5:54 a.m. on Feb. 15, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 1140 N. Harlem Ave. for a report of a subject who refused to leave the store. George Roman-Garcia, 22, 4328 W. Crystal St., Chicago, was taken into custody after he refused to leave the property. Roman-Garcia was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing.  


Retail Theft Arrest- On Feb. 16 at 4:36 p.m., officers responded to the Jewel-Osco located at 7525 W. Lake St. for a retail theft in progress. A subject was seen taking $103 worth of liquor. The offender was found a few blocks from the store and taken into custody by River Forest police. The subject, Donta C. Scott, 41, 5111 S. University Ave., Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft due to a previous conviction in 2011 for a similar offense.
