Copper Downspout Theft Arrest – On Feb. 5, 36-year-old Stanley Mark Rozkocha of 7420 W. Belmont Ave. was arrested and charged with one count of theft. Rozkocha reportedly stole copper downspouts from a home on the 800 block of Bonnie Brae Place, according to the police report. Rozkocha has been the suspect of five separate copper downspout thefts on the 800 block of Bonnie Brae between Jan. 20 and Feb. 5. Rozkocha’s court date is pending on March 1.

Fleeing and Eluding/Auto Theft – According to the police report, at 11:28 a.m. on Feb. 2, several officers stopped a black Ford on Augusta St. and Harlem Ave. that had been stolen from Melrose Park on Jan. 25.  The driver, who was described as an approximately 25-year-old male wearing a black and red jacket, fled into Oak Park. The license plate number on the stolen vehicle is #N814233 and the car was last seen in the area of Augusta St. and Central Ave. by an Oak Park officer. The case is under investigation.

Criminal Damage to Property – At 5:29 p.m. on Feb. 2, an officer responded to the 400 block of Clinton Ave. where a window had been damaged in the lobby of a building. According to the police report, three juveniles were seen in the area prior to the incident. The estimated damage is $1,500.
