Wallet Theft- At 1:10 p.m. on Mar. 20, an officer responded to Dominican University, 7900 W. Division, in reference to a wallet theft. According to the police report, the wallet was stolen from an unsecured locker in the lower level of Power Hall. The loss included $40.00, credit cards and identification.

DUI/Reckless Driving- At 2:46 a.m., on Mar. 23, an officer observed a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am driving 70 mph east of the 7900 block of Division. The driver disobeyed two separate four-way stop signs before a traffic stop was conducted. The driver, 21-year-old Jerry M. Wallace, of 1140 Covington in Lemont, failed several field sobriety tests. Wallace’s blood alcohol content registered at .140, more than twice the legal limit. Wallace was subsequently charged with DUI, reckless driving and several other violations.

DUI Arrest- At 12:56 a.m., on Mar. 25, an officer observed a vehicle making several traffic violations on the 7900 block of North Ave. The driver, 44-year-old Bucio Arreaga, of 371 S. Lexington Dr. in Romeoville, IL., failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Arreaga’s blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit and he was charged with DUI.
