Student Stresses on

Dear Kat,

I thought I had this year all planned out and I felt confident in it so far. But lately, there’s been a lot of stress, I feel like I fell from my pedestal and now I feel so lost and stressed out. My grades are going down, I’m not talking to my friends as much as I used to, me and my family and love life is hard to maintain. How can I balance it all so I don’t feel emotionally drained everyday?


Hi. I’ve been in this situation before, and it’s difficult to figure out. What I did was prioritize. I placed my schooling first, job second, and  relationships third. I realized a lot of my stress stemmed from my unsatisfying grades. Once I got back on track academically, my stress was not as heavy, and eventually dissolved. Also, make sure you’re taking care of yourself. Rest enough. Drink water. Love yourself.
